at Lexington Market

I just wanted to introduce one of my favorite sandwiches today.
We had the "overstuffed" sandwich from The Barron's Delicatessen in Lexington Market.
I ordered the salami sandwich and please take a look at the pictures!
The amount of salami was insane.
Amazingly this sandwich doesn't cost more than 5 bucks.

Guess how much this cupcake is?
40 cents.
I swear to god I've got the EXACT same muffin at a different shop and it cost me 4 times more.
It's a great discovery since I like muffins.

Peach was curious while I was taking pictures of this muffin at the windowsill. Photo below is him checking out my muffin. So adorable.

By the way, Lexington Market has been in Baltimore since 1782.
There are many vendors and people come to get lunch.
They also sell veggies, meat, seafood and various other products.

salmon

H-Mart

H-Mart

The First Day of Spring '08

Rita's Water Ice

March 20, 2008

Wind blew up my face coldly,
but today was officially the first day of spring.
Despite the cold weather,
we went to get the "free" Rita's water ice to mark the day.
It was too cold to eat the Rita's,
still the sweetness of "Island Fusion" brought us some spring spirit.
I can't wait to feel the warm weather.

A+

While I was browsing some pictures related to "the first day of spring," I found this drawing. I believe the artist let the wind draw it. People often say that the first day of spring is windy. It is a neat creation of spring wind.

Lunch with Elephants

Elephants walking on the street of downtown Baltimore

Shame on me.
At one point or another, everyone learned to get to their destination early.
We have this phrase, "5 fun mae koudou" (get there 5 minute before) in Japanese. For sure, it is today's lesson.

I worked at companies where the time was deadly important. Even throughout my school years, I was told to get to places way before events start and of course, leave after everyone has left.

I SO wanted to see this event, Lunch with Elephants, at Lexington Market. It was sort of a promotional event for Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey. They brought their elephants to the market parking lot and fed them. We thought it won't be a long walk to get to the market. When we got there, everything was almost done. I guess the elephants were hungry and ate their lunch fairly quick. I TOTALLY MISSED THE LUNCH WITH ELEPHANTS. It made me sad. (haha)

After the elephants had their lunch, they started walking down the streets of downtown Baltimore to get back to 1st Mariner Arena where they held the circus. They walk faster than you would expect. I had to run down to find a good spot to snap some pictures. They are also very cute. They hold
the tail of the one ahead like kindergarten students would hold each other's hands. No worries, none of elephants got lost.

The picture for this entry is kinda lame :<

DAMMIT!!!

Accidentally, I rented two musical movies.
This is great.
I have nothing against musicals... but prefer non-musical ones.
Oh well.

The last musical I saw was Hairspray.
I guess it was alright.
Can't hate Travolta.

I'm going to watch and take pictures of the Charm City Roller Girls (roller derby) tonight.
Excited :)

Trying To................................................................................

develop:
1- artistic eyes
2- unique point of views out of ordinary scenes

Sometime being different helps
To make you stand out from big crowds
Not that I want to stand out.. but want to have my own unique way/style of things
Especially when it comes to Photography...

Being different and unique = requires creativity

This is sort of my ultimate goal for now
I want to be more confident about things
I do believe having these things will help me become a better photographer

I don't know. I get down after shooting..
The feeling of, what if they didn't like my work.. kinda haunts me a while until I can forget.

emo much!? :0
