no woman no cry....

The Wailers Band (Baltimore 2008)

The Wailers Band was one of the bands who performed at Baltimore's Artscape this weekend.

Artscape is considered as America's largest free public arts festival. It attracts thousands and thousands of people every year. It is a 3-day-long festivity which displays the appreciation for the arts that include not only "art", but also animated short films, fashion, and anything you can think of as being the arts. (More Info)

We pretty much went to see only The Wailers Band show on Sunday evening. I used to love listening to Reggae, but stopped a few years ago all of a sudden. I didn't expect them to be so active especially after the deaths of Bob Marley and Peter Tosh in the 80's. Anyway, The Wailers Band was the backing band for Bob Marley & The Wailers. The band continues to do live concerts covering Marley's hit songs today.

Reggae is so perfect for the hot, sunny summer days :)

Aimee Allen's "Unofficial" Ron Paul Revolution Theme Song

Lyrics of Ron Paul Revolution Theme song:

Wake up!
Good morning America!
Rise and Shine....:)
Ron Paul! Save our constitutional rights
Ron Paul! We're not gonna give up the fight
Ron Paul! Start a revolutionand break down illegal institutions

We don't want no war no more
bring our boys home to our shores
We don't want big government
Or the Bilderberg group that pays for it
The Federal Id means a police state
and Mr. Jefferson's rolling in his grave
when our names turn to numbers like 666
according to the gospel on implantable chips

Chorus
The Patriot Act took our liberties
And there's no judge and no jury
Tapping our phones, breaking down our doors
waging on the people a civil war!
We work 3 jobs and bring home no pay
The IRS takes it all away
and we struggle, slave to pay the rent
So, Ron Paul for President

Chorus

(Ron Paul speaks)

Chorus

The choir at the end of the song is singing "Vote for Ron Paul"

For once, stop being mainstream........

...and re-think for your own goddamn future.
It is the time to take some action.

You may laugh, but honestly I won't mind. I believe that even my voice- the only and single one, might be able to change the world. I'm not here trying to change what you believe, but I'm here asking you to take some time to read what other people's opinions and voices. It might make you realize that there is an alternative solution, opinion, voice, and idea beside your own. You might have been too "mainstream" to notice that there are things you were "protected" from are lies from the biased, propagandizing government-based media. I'm saying this because it is the truth. Media won't cover anyone who is labeled as an "enemy" and opposite of mainstream ideas.

These "criminals" a.k.a. politicians like Barack Obama and John McCain are holding the US as their own hostages. They will do whatever the heck they want once they get elected. For instance, take a look at FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act). Obama was once opposed to the "illegal wire tapping" which Bush has been using ever since he became President of the United States. Obama has already lied to the people and the US Congress include him and McCain passed the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 on July 9, 2008. (more FISA info)

Why won't people realize that there is people like Ron Paul who truly cares about the future of the US and the world. He's not running for the the presidential nomination for his own good, nor make a big government which can rule the US and the world. American government and everything is CORRUPTED. It may sound like there is and would be nothing to do with you in the future, but there will be. The whole world is in depression and America has been.

Hmmm, this post might become way too long if I keep going. I would like to make several posts about this whole thing.. so I'll try to keep each one short.

Ron Paul is not a modern Republican, but running as one of the Republican candidates. He believes in the Constitution and liberty. Freedom for the people. He doesn't want big government. People are entitled to have constitutional rights as the founding fathers established for the future generations. There are many things he is in to change: Federal Reserve, War in Iraq and future unnecessary wars might have been planned, legalizing drugs (which I don't completely agree with), and the list goes on.

After attending the rally last Saturday, I'm aware of the problems which America is facing and will have in the future. Everyone needs to realize this and stand up for your own sake.

ReeeeeeeViVaL!

After a month of without having written any sort of entries on my Blog, once again, I'm back to this for good. Friends and my family who have wondered how I have been, I've been good. Just a little bit of laziness took over my mind and soul.

_______________

The other day, I bought some so called oriental yams a.k.a. sweet potatoes. In the US, a yam is more orange-ish color inside and not as sweet as oriental ones. Satsumaimo (sweet potatoes) tempura is one of my favorite mom's dishes. I wasn't craving the tempura, so I made some sweet potatoes snack called, "Daigaku Imo: 大学いも." The direct translation would be "college potato." According to the site where I got the recipe, many college kids treated themselves by making this snack. I'm guessing that they had made these snacks for themselves maybe 40 to 50 years ago?! For sure, my generation didn't actually make this sweet on their own.

Anyway, Daigaku Imo is handy and most people buy from grocery stores nowadays. Somehow my idea of Daigaku Imo was using the "gooey" candy (mizu ame: 水飴) for the sauce. I asked E whether I can buy the gooey candy anywhere near my home and he seemed totally lost. I don't think there's this type of material been used or sold in the US. I didn't have many options, so there I was... searching for the other options to finish making the Daigaku Imo. There was another way of making the sauce: 1 cup of white or brown sugar and 2 table spoon of vegetable oil. It didn't exactly give me what kind of temperature I was suppose to use to cook the sauce.. so after I finished making the Daigaku Imo, the sauce part got totally hard .__. and they were all stuck together.

For the first time making Daigaku Imo, it was still fairly successful and tasty :)
